1. What is the purpose of this document?

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the agreement you are entering into with Compare More Limited. It’s important that you read this information carefully to understand what both your and our obligations are in terms of the use of this platform, and the provision of any services. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms, you should not use this platform.

Compare More Limited is registered in England under Company Number 11429125 and our registered office is 52 Forder Way, Peterborough PE7 8JB.

Energy, broadband, mobile and other non-financial and non-insurance services are not regulated by the FCA.

We do not provide financial or other advice in relation to the products or services that are compared and we do not provide recommendations or endorsements. We provide the platform to enable third party providers to display prices and product details for you to make your own selection from.

When utilising one of our panel of third party providers you should make your own checks on their specific Terms and Conditions, as well as their privacy information. Where it is of particular financial importance, you should also consider taking independent financial advice.

2. Providing information to us

Compare More is intended for either personal or business use within the United Kingdom. In order to provide a quote or comparison quotes to you, you will need to answer a series of questions. You must complete this information accurately and in full. It is your responsibility to ensure that the quote you are provided with is accurate and up to date before you purchase the related product or service. If you fail to provide accurate information you may run the risk of:

  • Any insurance product purchased may be void, meaning you will not be able to make a claim.

  • Having to pay additional premiums to reflect an increase in insurance risk where the information previously provided is deemed to be incorrect.

Where you are found to be in breach of these Terms, we reserve the right to take any action we deem appropriate which may include: denying you access to this platform, bringing legal proceedings against you, disclosing information to relevant legal and/or regulatory bodies including (but not limited to) those such as the Police and HMRC.

3. Providing a service to you

The results of your enquiry will be displayed to you on our platform. We may also provide you these results by email or other contact methods. We may provide you renewal information at the relevant time where you have indicated we are able to.

We do not control the price, length of offers or any special conditions relating to comparison quotes or offers that are displayed on the platform. Product and prices, rates and offer times are subject to change. This includes the rate at which Insurance Premium Tax (“IPT”) is calculated and as this is set by the Government, will mean that insurer’s quotes may change where the IPT changes.

As the information we provide to you is sourced from third-parties, there may be occasions beyond our control where we are not able to provide online quotes and prices by specific providers. This may be because of technical problems, or sometimes because you or your circumstances do not meet the requirements of that third-party provider.

We may also send you marketing communications where it is appropriate for us to do so and we have your permission. You can ask us to stop sending these communications at any time via the ‘unsubscribe’ link that’s included in every email we send.

Our platform contains numerous links to third party websites which are operated beyond our control. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content of any third-party website.

Any websites we link to should not be viewed as an endorsement and/or recommendation by us.

5. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights, information, data and copyright material contained on this platform are either owned by us or used under express permission. This information or copyright material must not be used unless you have permission from us or the owner to do so.

You may download or otherwise copy the content of downloaded items displayed on this platform for your personal use (i.e. your comparison results and/or quotation or policy information) so long as it is not in any breach of these Terms.

Where the law allows us to exclude liability, we shall maintain no liability to you under these Terms, regardless of whether liability arises in contract, tort or any other way and whether it is caused by misrepresentation or negligence.

Should a competent authority hold any provision of these Terms to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of these Terms remain valid and unaffected. This includes any deletions or modifications as may be necessary to make the provision legal. Valid and enforceable.

No other person may benefit or rely on these Terms as they apply only between you and us.

In the event of any dispute, English law will apply.
