Richard Groom began his career in life insurance administration and underwriting before moving on to communications and marketing roles. He now has over 25+ years’ experience as a writer across multiple sectors, specialising in financial services for the past decade or so.
As a freelance writer for Compare More and a long list of other companies, Richard writes everything from the briefest of advertising copy to ‘white paper’ documents running to thousands of words. Whatever he writes, he loves communicating often complex information to readers in words they can easily understand and digest.
When not at work, Richard is an avid reader, plays and collects guitars, and is a huge dog lover. A favourite pastime is hiking and he is never more than a few weeks away from his next trip to the hills and mountains of the UK, with the Lake District and Scottish Highlands among his favourite places to explore.
